Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani is the former Chairman Finance Bank Zambia. Established in the year 1986, Finance Bank Zambia is one of the most popular commercial banks in Africa with total assets exceeding $ 400 million. At the present date, the bank has converted into a public limited company and has its branches in neighboring countries as well.

Dr. Rajan Mahtani has been the pioneer of Finance Bank for more than 25 years and under his leadership, this bank has successfully funded more than fifty development projects for Zambia. However, due to conspiracies and malicious attempt of the conspirators, Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani stepped down from the post of Chairman Finance Bank Zambia on June 2, 2015. The seat of the Chairman is currently occupied by Mr. William Boli Nyirenda, a former board member of Finance Bank Zambia.

During his reign, Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani had employed thousands of locals to offer with a better standard of living. At the present date, Finance Bank of Zambia employs more than 1100 employees and generates more than US $ 10 million annually. The key planning and development structure are closely monitored by Dr. Rajan Mahtani, who employs diligence and experience to make fruitful decisions for Zambia and Finance Bank.

Finance Bank was successful in obtaining its license from the Bank of Zambia in 1986 and from then it has been a journey full of challenges and achievements. Needless to say, every time Dr. Rajan Mahtani proved that the claims were nothing more than a set imaginative stories and eliminated any chances that would cost this bank its reputation. Rajan Mahtani recently also revealed that Finance Bank is soon going to begin its share trading operations in the Lusaka Stock Exchange (LuSE).
