The case was launched almost 10 years back when the factory was taken over. While Dr. Rajan Mahtani launched the case based on the contention that it was illegally taken over, the Ventriglias defended themselves by contending that Dr. Rajan Mahtani did not pay for his shares at the factory. During this time, both parties were asked to submit evidences and testimonials to prove their points. During the course of these court proceedings, Dr. Rajan Mahtani has produced numerous evidences and testimonials that sufficiently prove his rightful ownership over the factory. Some of these evidences included signed shareholders agreement that proves his shareholding in the factory, financial exhibits that prove his investments in the factory which is more than USD 12 million as well as several other testimonials from shareholders and critical members of the organization. Another important report shared by Dr. Rajan Mahtani was audit report conducted by an independent auditor. As per the report, Dr. Mahtani is the sole partner of the franchise that was started as a joint venture. All these evidences and testimonials have clearly proven his rightful ownership over the factory.

Meanwhile, the factory is at the mercy of the Ventriglias who have done nothing to keep the area in a workable condition. As a result, the assets have started to corrode and the factory cash box has been completely looted by goons. While the judge currently handling the case has announced that the case will be closed soon; it is doubtful that the factory will ever recover from the damages done by the Ventriglias.
