Forbes Felicitates Dr. Rajan Mahtani With Prestigious ‘Best Of Africa’ Award

Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani is one of the most successful and respected businessmen in Zambia. Dr. Mahtani’s contributions towards Zambian business and society were recently recognised by international brands such as Forbes and FIN (Foreign Investment Network). Forbes along with FIN conducts the annual philanthropic and roundtable conference in Africa, with the objective of discussing humanitarian, philanthropic and leadership issues as well as creating opportunities of supporting local and national projects for the benefit of entire African community.

Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani was a honorary speaker during the event and participated in this business event via online medium. Also, he was selected for one of the awards in the Forbes ‘Best of Africa’ awards ceremony. Dr. Rajan Mahtani was selected was awarded the prestigious Forbes ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ award 2021 for his business and philanthropic contributions as well as transforming the banking sector of Zambia.

Dr. Rajan Mahtani is the founder and owner of several top organizations across Zambia and Africa. His company Mahtani Group quickly transformed itself into a conglomerate and has now expanded to several sector such as energy, mining, real estate, insurance, agriculture and several others. The company has also reached several national and international locations. Apart from his business contributions, Dr. Rajan Mahtani is also regarded for his philanthropic and charitable contributions including Prison Fellowship Zambia and Stephen Malama award and scholarship for top law graduates in Zambia.

The awards hold special significance due to the authenticity, transparency and the rigorous selection process which involves several months of verifications, authentications, background checks and interviews. Mark Furlong who is the President of Forbes Custom Solutions presented the awards. Apart from Dr. Rajan Mahtani, several other philanthropists and leaders who won awards under the Forbes ‘Best of Africa’ category included Ken Sharpe, Clavar Gatete, Mahmood Ahmadu, Leo Ekeh, Sam Matekane, Kwame Bedialo, Paul Adefarasin and several others. The chairman of Foreign Investment Network (FIN), Olayinka Fayomi, delivered the welcome address during the event.
