Zambia Reports has once again acted in the best interest of its financiers by defaming Dr. Rajan Mahtani. A case where the former Finance Bank Zambia Chairman had nothing to do was scripted in such a manner that the readers would think that it is actually Dr. Mahtani who is making the calls for BancABC.
Everyone is well aware of the fact that Finance Bank Zambia and BancABC merged into a single operating unit in 2016. After this merger, all the powers remain vested in the management controlling BancABC. Therefore, it is implied that any action taken by BancABC would reflect the decision of the respective management. However, as per Zambia Reports, Lamasat is being tricked into legal obligations by Dr. Rajan Mahtani.
Lamasat had earlier availed a loan of $ 10,00,000 from Finance Bank Zambia which was payable in 60 equal instalments. But when the powers shifted BanABC, they observed that Lamasat had made fake promises and unable to honour the commitments. Hence, the bank made a call for repayment. The opportunity was immediately grabbed by Zambia Reports as another opportunity to harass Dr. Rajan Mahtani and Finance Bank Zambia.
Throughout the past couple of years, we have seen that Zambia Reports has been silently working on stories that are purely based on imagination. They create these stories with a view to upset Dr. Rajan Mahtani and gain recognition for some time. The sad part is that there are constantly being paid by the wealthy ‘cartel gang’ to carry out the attacks. This has not only raised several questions on the journalism ethics in Zambia, but has also brought serious disgrace to the country. The only thing that the conspirators carve for is revenge from Dr. Rajan Mahtani because he had stopped them on every path which led to destruction in Zambia.
