Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani has once again proved that there is no substitute for honesty and truth. The High Court of Malawi took care of case number 570 of 2015 where the involved parties were Dr. Mahtani and Nyasa Times. The judgement came in favour of the former Finance Bank Chairman and as a result, Nyasa Times would now be required to pay defamation charges to the Dr. Mahtani.
Sources have confirmed that the actual players of this defamation game is Zambia Reports, who had convinced Nyasa Times to publish fabricated news and injure the reputation for Dr. Mahtani in Malawi. However, with the presence of a strict judicial system, things started to become difficult for Nyasa Times and eventually, the case resulted in their shame.
Dr. Rajan Mahtani is the Chairman of the Mahtani Group of Companies and has been one of the finest businessman in Zambia. He has always followed the path of truth and has never supported crime and corruption. Zambia Reports has become his sworn enemy as the conspirators have found him as a big resistance. Therefore, their objective has now shifted to defame the former Finance Bank Chairman and injure his reputation.
However, Law has always protected Dr. Mahtani from any kind of defamation. This time Nyasa Times has paid the price and it is expected that Zambia Reports will also face the same music. The newly appointed lawyer for Dr. Mahtani, Clare Locke LLP has already written to GoDaddy about the range of law violation which has been done by Zambia Reports along with a proposal to discontinue the hosting service of Zambia Reports at the earliest. If the proposal is honoured, then we can very well have Zambia Reports shut down forever. Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani was also jailed through a conspiracy in June 2015.
