The news of the upcoming bio plant in Luapula Province has raised several questions in the minds of the people. As usual, the conspirators would sooner or later be commenting on the same and putting up allegations on Rajan Mahtani with respect to its operation. So, before the allegations start coming here are 3 reasons why Luapula was selected as the venue for the next development project in Zambia-
1) Rich Supply of Cassava– The very first reason for setting up a plant in Luapula is the supply of cassava. It is the local crop of Luapula Province and is available in abundance. This means that the factory would cut down its transportation cost and would also offer a healthy employment to farmers and the locals.
2) Improving employment rate– One of the pressing issues in Zambia is employment. With the rate of unemployment constant at the alarming rate, it was essential for Zambia to have an industry where about 30000 to 35000 people can be employed. The current plant offers employment to about 7000 workers along with offering a market to 25000 farmers.
3) Self dependence– Luapula Province had been lagging behind when it comes to development. This was one of the prime reasons why this area of chosen. The wait was over and it was time that the region received attention from one of the pioneers.

Most of the people who have worked under him have often praised him for the motivation that he offers and standards that he sets for achieving his goals.
