On the event of Alderman Tom Mtine’s 90th birthday, Rajan Mahtani gave a speech which some people may regard as one of the best in recent years. On February 13 2016, the whole of Zambia had gathered to hear what one of the best business had to say. A line which had impressed all was “Never apologize for being correct, or being years ahead of your time.”
The significance of the above mentioned statement holds true under all contexts. Just like everybody else, Dr. Rajan Mathani too has suffered from the attack of the conspirators when his contribution to the economy of Zambia was moving ahead at a rapid pace. The conspirators stabbed turn by turn from behind and tries their level best to ensure that his reputation gets washed away with their series of allegation. However, the truth surfaced in the end and the defamation was busted and thrown into the dustbin.
Rajan Mahtani has always tried to ensure that his presence gives people positive energy, which they can use in their daily life and overcome the obstacles which Zambia is currently facing. No matter how adverse is the situation, we should not be willing to shift from the correct path to the wrong. Rather we should take it as a test which the God is taking. If we can withstand the period, we can a brighter future. Unlike conspirators, our target should be to help Zambia grow and contribute towards its development. With contributions like Portland Cement Zambia, Finance Bank Zambia, Radisson Blu and the upcoming bio-plant in the Luapula Province, Rajan Mahtani has certainly made a place for himself in the list of most influential people in Zambia. However, he never desired fame or a thick bank balance, all he wants was to help his fellow brothers and Zambia to have a brighter tomorrow.
