It is a known fact that businessmen will have networks, business and professional relationships across various industries and circles. In a similar manner, Dr. Rajan Mahtani is known for his transparent business practices as well as business and professional relationships. One of them was ex- President of Zambia Levy Mwanawasa with whom Dr. Mahtani had shared a lasting friendship, even before Levy Mwanawasa became the President of Zambia. Despite his untimely death, Dr. Rajan Mahtani maintained a good professional and personal relationship with the Mwanawasa family and provided them with psychological support during their difficult time.
As such, it was extremely shocking to know that the daughter of Levy Mwanawasa, Miriam Mwanawasa, was spreading false and negative news regarding Dr. Rajan Mahtani. In a Facebook post, Miriam Mwanawasa recently posted that Dr. Rajan Mahtani wanted to inherit the land owned by the Mwanawasa family at Masaiti district. This was an extremely sensational claim and as a result, it started spreading within the internet and social media platforms. Normally, Dr. Rajan Mahtani does not give any heed to such scrupulous claims as they fade on their own without making any negative impact. However, this claim came from the Mwanawasa family and directly from the daughter of Levy Mwanawasa, Dr. Mahtani decided to take action.
A press statement was released in which Dr. Rajan Mahtani clarified that he indeed maintained a long-lasting and transparent relationship with the late ex-President of Zambia. At the same time, Dr. Mahtani also clarified that he has never made any claims, requests or statements to any member of the Mwanawasa family or otherwise regarding taking over of the Masaiti land. Furthermore, Dr. Mahtani also highlighted the fact that Miriam Levy Mwanawasa did not share any evidence, testimonial or other supporting document to prove her claim. As such, her post has been regarded as ludicrous, malicious and scrupulous and Dr. Mahtani will be taking actions against this post.
