Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani is a noted businessperson and philanthropist from Zambia. Recently, Dr. Mahtani was conferred with one of the top business and philanthropy awards in Zambia. It was the Forbes ‘Outstanding Entrepreneur of the Year’ award 2021. This award was presented during the Forbes ‘Best of Africa’ award ceremony, which in-turn was a part of the Forbes-FIN (Foreign Investment Network) philanthropy and leadership roundtable conference. Foreign Investment Network (FIN) is a UK-based firm that has been critical in driving FDIs (Foreign Direct Investment) across Africa as well as several developing economies. FIN has been working towards transforming the narrative of Africa and to fulfil these objectives, have organized more than 40 business and international investment events for supporting these emerging markets. FIN focusses on areas such as agriculture, oil & gas, metallurgical, engineering, telecommunication, maritime industries, and infrastructure.
FIN organized the Forbes-FIN philanthropy and leadership roundtable conference in collaboration with Forbes. The roundtable conference was organized despite the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and was conducted virtually. Members participated in this event from their respective locations. The event was broadcasted across the globe via YouTube medium. Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani was also invited in this event as an honorary speaker and discussed about the significance of leadership in healthcare. The objective of the Forbes-FIN event was creating an action course towards awareness and regular donations for supporting small & medium projects across Africa. The focus is especially on technology for the younger generation.
