Forbes Honors Dr. Mahtani For His Philanthropic Achievements

After several decades of hard work and dedication, Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani was finally recognized at an international level. Forbes is one of the top business magazines across Africa. The business magazine conducts the Forbes ‘Best of Africa’ award ceremony to recognize and celebrate leading lights in the field of business, philanthropy, and leadership. The Forbes ‘Best of Africa’ is among the most anticipated and celebrated business awards across Africa. The award is highly regarded due to the association with Forbes which is among the top business brands across the globe. Furthermore, the process of selecting the awardees is extremely rigorous and transparent. This process comprises months of verification processes and background checks by both Forbes and FIN (Foreign Investment Limited). This is followed by interviews and discussions with the potential recipients to understand their viewpoints on philanthropy to achieve long-term empowerment across the Zambian nation. After these strict and transparent processes, the recipients of the awards are selected. The 2021 Forbes ‘Best of Africa’ awards was presented during the Forbes-FIN philanthropy and leadership roundtable conference. It was a virtual conference wherein members participated from their respective locations to comply with the local and international restrictions because of the ongoing pandemic.

Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani, who has established himself as one of the top businessmen and philanthropists from Zambia, was invited to this Forbes-FIN roundtable conference as an honorary speaker and discussed the significance of leadership in healthcare. Apart from the above, Dr. Mahtani was also selected for one of the Forbes ‘Best of Africa’ awards. Forbes recognized the significant contributions of Dr. Rajan Mahtani towards redefining the banking sector of Zambia and conferred him with the Forbes ‘Outstanding Entrepreneur of the Year’ award 2021. Apart from this, Dr. Rajan Mahtani has also been recognized for his philanthropic and charitable contributions across Zambia such as Prison Fellowship Zambia and Stephen Malama award and scholarship for top law graduates in Zambia.
