Supreme Court Gives Long Awaited Judgement, Finance Bank Wins

The long awaited judgement announced by the Supreme Court Zambia came as relief for Finance Bank and as a shocker for all its conspirators. The bank had been fighting a lone war against its conspirators. The only support Finance Bank had was that of Dr. Rajan Mahtani, who is also founder of the bank. Dr. Rajan Mahtani is a known businessman and has been doing businesses in the nation for a long time. He is respected among peers and society for his welfare work and always keeping his calm when conspirators try to defame him or spread false rumors. However, he has also never stood behind when it comes to fighting for justice and purpose. This is very much evident from the case between Finance Bank and Simaata.

Dr. Rajan Mahtani

Simaata is a former Finance Bank employee. He is infamous across Zambia for his super jealous nature and unethical practices. He was removed from the bank for the same reason. He then signed an agreement with bank so that the sensitive information regarding the bank is kept safe. However, he went ahead with his normal nature of betrayal and conspiracy and broke the agreement terms across various occasions. First, he provided testimonials in which he put Finance Bank in negative position. He then disclosed several confidential statements to public newspaper. All these activities impacted the image of Finance Bank and its well wishers like Dr. Rajan Mahtani in a negative manner. As a result, the case was launched against Simaata by Finance Bank at the Supreme Court Zambia.

These activities of Simaata not only created negative reputation for the bank, but also reduced the bank’s prospects of growing and improving its business. While the bank was successfully able to sue Simaata for his activities, it is difficult to say whether the bank will ever fully recover from the damages done. However, this incident has also made the conspirators more cautious and they will definitely think twice before posting any maligning news about honest businessmen in future.
